Game Day Guidelines
Your guide for getting ready for game day.
Weekday Games
Arrive 30 minutes before your game start time. Check the field.
- Make sure the bases and pitching mound distance are correct(see chart below).
- Make sure the fields have been lined.
- If you do not need a pitching mound, move the mound off to the side of the field, in the grass next to the fence.
- Have your line-up set.
- Exchange your line up with the other team.
- Meet with the umpire(s), confirm home and away team.
- Confirm how long the game will be and ask any clarification question with the umpire during this time.
- Play ball!
Saturday's Game
Usually during the week Cherokee County Parks and Recreation will prep the fields for us. This is not done for us on the weekend. This means you will have to help prep the field. You and the other coaches will need to move bases, line the field, and help groom trouble areas (such as batter box…)
If you have the very first game 9 or 9.30am start
Arrive 45 minutes early
