Background Check

ECB requires that all coaches and adults who interact with the players on a consistent basis submit to and pass a background check. The background checks are provided through the Cherokee County Recreation and Parks Agency (CRPA) in accordance with ECB’s Youth Association facilities usage agreement. ECB does not receive any information on the details of the background checks, only a pass / fail response. The company contracted by CRPA will supply details to a coach when they do not pass the background check. The details will include the process to appeal the decision.

The background checks are valid from July 1 and will expire on June 30. If you have submitted a background check using CRPA for the prior year's "Fall" season sport, that background check is valid for this spring. If you submitted one prior to July 1 of last year, you will need to resubmit for a background check.

All coaches must have submitted their background check prior to player assessments and provide a copy of the submission confirmation email to ECB. Please forward the submission email to [email protected] .
