Are you interested in becoming an umpire? We are always looking for great umpires for our spring and fall seasons. Our umpire staff consists of adults and teenagers (16-19) working all the recreational games.
If you are turning 16 in the current calendar year, you are able to become and East Cherokee Baseball umpire. You will work the 5/6 or 7/8 games to get experience. You can work your way up to the older age groups and eventually behind the plate. The best seat in the house!
We play games all day on Saturday starting as early as 9am and games Monday – Thursday starting at 6pm.
We provide the shirts and available gear for the older ages. You will need to provide your own ball/strike counter, plain black shorts or black/grey pants, and comfortable shoes.
What rules do I learn?
We follow Dizzy Dean and the rule book can be found on the Dizzy Dean for Georgia’s web site - Dizzy Dean Rule Book
